17th Nov. 2002	The Sunday Times – Parent Power – The Top 1,000 State Schools St. Mary’s featured in the Sunday Times on November 17^th for the third year running. Our school was one of only 11 primary schools throughout the whole of Scotland, and the only primary school in the Stirling area to be included! The criteria used by the Sunday Times was as follows: ‘Scottish schools are ranked on the basis of their examination performance over three years from 1999 to 2001 using data from the Scottish Executive.’ Well done to the whole school community!
August 2002	Aid for Arghanistan The children in P6/7 during last session managed to raise, through their own efforts, the magnificent sum of £127.50 to aid the children in Afghanistan. Well done to them all!

17th June 2001	Sponsored Cycle Ride at Loch Katrine 22 pupils and staff took part in a sponsored cycle ride on the banks of Loch Katrine today. Participants had the choice of riding 6, 12, or 18 mile courses, and over £1,500 was raised for the school fighting fund. Prizes were awarded for the "coolest clothes" and "best decorated helmet"!
